under the clip is a spring loaded circular piece of steel with a nipple on it, the nipple hits the head of the grenade just like a hammer to the back of a bullet, thats the pop you heard, it hit the top and started the fuse |

I'm fairly sure this is in Cambodia. They have places there where you can shoot machine guns and stuff like that. I've seen a bunch of pictures of a place like this in online journals of people whom traveled to Cambodia. |

the pin does nothing more than hold the spoon in place. the spoon is that little handle you see that goes along the grenade. to ignite the spoon must be released and the firing pin that the spoon holds sown swivels up and strikes the primer. the pop was the firing pin hitting the primer after he let go of the spoon, signifying that the grenade had been triggered. you can see the spoon fly right before it pops. you can hold a grenade forever with no pin as long as you hold down the spoon. you can even put the pin back in if you want, though it is hard to do and i wouldn't recommend it.

someone know really how the delay element is make, I know it could burn 4.5-5sec but I want to know what is it 'cause I buy grenades on ebay and the only things I got to do is to change the primer and find some delay element. Thank!! |

hi G-fan the the "burn" aint the same on all Grenades but i can tell you the ones i played with in my army days had a fuse on 3 sec, so my advice would be dont play cool and do the 1-2-3 throw, pull the pin and throw the grenade the Spoon will jump of by it self once you let go of it... and make sure you have a place to stand behind, brickwall, concret etc. |

I simply want to know how to reproduce a "safe" delay element for the fuse, I dont want to make H.E. simply smoke grenade with a 4-5 sec. delay. I tried green fuze used in firework but when the primer explode, it break the fuze so it dont light. Someone could help me?? |
