thats been on TV heaps of times.
female driver thought it was like going down the down ramp at the parking station ....
By the time she realised she had to use the foot brake like it was the world would end if she didnt,, it was bouncing and had no chance of gaining traction.
No serious injuries, the sand cushioned the impact. Hopefully insurance didnt pay .. not exactly a road accident !

I heard the story was that the husband used the Blazer to go up and down, and then he told his wife to do it because it was so awesome.
After she took off from the top, the brakes went off and she couldn't slow it down....probably forgot about engine braking or what not. Nonetheless she kept it prety steady, going off the side at the very end. Goodness it wasn't further up the lion's back! It's in MOAB, Utah.....FYI. |

That's Lion's Back. A hill used for competative 4 wheel drive racing. Even some of the best off-raoders can't survive that incline. If you look, the "road" is slick from all of the vehicles. |
