the guy ejected its all good. F16s are reasonably hard to maneuver compared to the 18s but if he was flying a 15 that would have been so much cooler |

by the looks of it it didn't look like the poilot had enof speed to start with... |

yes he did not have enough speed but, he was also in a stall. |

he didn't compensate for the altitude change. this happened in idaho which is higher than las vegas. he did not stall. i was there. |

It was pilot error - did not compensate for the altitude, but he being a
T-Bird, he just got a hand shake and the keys to a new jet. If it had been anyone else they would be flying the desk for a year then out the door. |

1st of all... it was the altitude difference... he did not begin the roll at a high enough altitude, this was not a stall. And as far as the if it were an F18 he would have made it, this is true, but only because it was designed to manuever at a lower altitude for it's carrier based role. F16's are way more maneuverable between 15k and FL30. the fact that he was a tbird is beside the point. Any demo pilot would recieve the same action. Heavy investigation and grounding/recurrency training. If anything, the t bird would be more scrutinized because they are more of a recruiting tool, and that didn't help make the AF look good. |
