its an easy trick, he holding a pair of white laces through his pant leg, the Shoe IS Actually tied. his cuff of the pant covers the "already made knot" so in a quick ruffle" ("The whole The hand or shall i say foot is quicker than the eye deal") of his foot creates the illusion that it tied itself.
